The City provides health, dental and life insurance for employees at no cost. Dependents may be covered under these plans at group rates.
The City participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) and the Texas Local Firefighters Retirement Act (TLFFRA).
Both the City and employee contribute to the retirement plan. The TMRS employee's contribution is 7% and the City matches with a 14% contribution. Under the TLFFRA, employees contribute 12% and the City matches with a 14% contribution.
The City of Corsicana is also a participant in Social Security and Medicare.
An optional deferred compensation 457 plan is offered through payroll deduction and the employee chooses the amount of investment and investment choices.

Non-Civil Service Employees earn twelve (12) days of sick leave per year.
Civil Service Employees earn fifteen (15) days of sick leave per year.
Each employee is paid for twelve (12) holidays per year plus one (1) personal day.
Each employee receives $6 per month of service to the City of Corsicana.
Recognizes employees who have maintained exemplary attendance records throughout the year. Eligible employees are compensated for 33% of the unused portion of sick leave accrued within an annual cycle.
Membership through payroll deduction is available through the Navarro Credit Union.
Educational assistance to employees for additional job related educational development.
Employees may elect to have their bi-weekly paycheck automatically deposited to any bank requested.
